Self-directed Support – Campaign Film
SDS Film Campaign; the film was written and co-directed by Iain Henderson, Young Bafta winner Scotland 2015. The Film was Co-Directed by BOLD Marketing
We ran a highly visible on-street campaign across Dundee to alert the public to supporting individuals and their carers through self-directed support. Leaflets and posters were distributed to all key areas in Dundee and Angus and the “Faces of Self-directed Support” were on all key billboards and under passes in the city.
To give people a better understanding and a more in-depth idea of the range of options available to them, a one day SDS Fair was held in Dundee Caird Hall with free entry for all.
There were over 40 service providers offering information on the choices and services available. The event was aimed at people with support needs, carers and people who work in the care sector.
To put the SDS approach in context, motivational speakers Jamie Andrew, top Scottish mountaineer spoke about his amazing ascents all over the world – as a quadruple amputee – and communications professional, Mike Stevenson talked about his journey from rough-sleeping to becoming a multi-award winning entrepreneur.
